A simple act of kindness can make a big difference, and the Character In Action (CIA) club set out to do just that by sharing warmth and positivity with their peers before school today by handing out free hot chocolate in the concession stand from 7:30 – 7:55 am.
“We decided to do it because we thought it would be a good way to spread warmth around the school,” junior Sloane Bailey said. “And filling their cup is like filling their bucket in a way.”
The goal of this project was to spread kindness and figuratively and literally fill peoples’ cups, especially on a cold day.
“We thought it would be a good way to spread positivity in the school,” CIA club sponsor and Spanish teacher, Shea Miller said. “Especially for the kids walking into school.”
They came up with this idea by holding many morning meetings since the beginning of the year, and then they designed the cups they handed out to have unique affirmations or sayings.
“I appreciated it very much,” junior Blake Harris said. “I thought it was a positive spark to my morning and was also very tasty as well.”
