To gather donations for the Gretna Neighbors food pantry, Gretna East National Honors Society and Palisades Elementary held their Trunk-or-Treat events on Oct. 24 and Oct. 27. At least two donations were required to enter each event. Participants experienced creatively decorated trunks, played many different games and enjoyed a variety of treats.
Palisades’ final total was 341 items.
“For our first time doing this event, I was very pleased at the turnout,” Palisades principal Karen Naylor said. “Students were excited all week. I think we had a better turnout than we expected.”
