The Griffin girls’ soccer team officially punched their ticket to the NSAA Class B State Championship this morning with their 10-0 win against the Plattsmouth Blue Devils at the District Finals game. The Griffins shut out the Blue Devils scoring ten points resulting in the game ending after the first half.
The Griffins will compete for the State title on May 8 at 5:30 p.m. against Scotus Central Catholic. The game will be held at Morrison Stadium on the Creighton University campus.
In addition to the win this game, junior Kendall Dobberstein tied and broke the Class B state record for most assists within a season. Dobberstein now has 29 total assists.
