‘Matilda the Musical’ draws standing ovation on opening night [Photo Gallery]

The school’s first production fills auditorium, children in audience actively engage with characters

*UPDATE: On Oct. 11, 2023, the caption for the photo of Bruce finishing a cake was corrected. Originally, the person playing Bruce was misidentified as Quentin Balcer. This was incorrect. It should have read Quinn Balcer.

Full corrected caption: After finishing a cake, Bruce, played by middle schooler, Quinn Balcer , is cheered for by the students.

Thank you for your interest in obtaining pictures from our student news website! We appreciate your enthusiasm for the images captured by our Gretna East Media staff.

It’s essential to address copyright law when it comes to distributing photos our staff takes. We take copyright seriously, and our team is working diligently to ensure that we comply with all relevant regulations.

We are exploring the possibility of selling photos that are not used in our publications as a fundraiser for our journalism program. We’re currently in the process of seeking approval from the district administration for this initiative.

Please be aware that our Yearbook and Wingspan staffs have the first choice in selecting photos for their respective publications. However, any extra photos from athletic events, school events, and other occasions will be made available for purchase if the initiative is approved. You will be able to download or print these photos once the fundraising program is approved and implemented.

We appreciate your patience and support for our journalism program. Stay tuned for more information, and we’ll keep you updated on the progress of this exciting project. If you have any more questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
